Property photography and video for Ocean Retreats

Photography and video for Ocean Retreats

Shark Fin in Sennen Cove and Cliff House in Beesands

Shark Fin looks across Sennen Cove in Cornwall, while Cliff House sits beside the sea at Beesands in Devon. My work for Ocean Retreats in 2025 brought together property photography, aerial images, video and floorplans to introduce these two holiday homes.

At Shark Fin, I photographed the interiors and exteriors as well as producing aerial imagery, video and a floorplan. The client already had the still photographs of Cliff House; my contribution there was aerial photography, video and a floorplan. The work accompanied the new Ocean Retreats brand and website.

Photographing Shark Fin

The rooms and their view of Sennen Cove

The open-plan living space has a vaulted timber ceiling and large areas of glazing looking towards the bay. The dining table faces the water, bringing the view into the room. Those relationships are a useful part of the photographic story: the photographs show the furnishings and layout alongside the outlook.

Kitchen and bedroom photographs add to the selection, introducing more of the accommodation inside the house. Outside, timber cladding and coastal planting give Shark Fin its own character. Views of the house and garden connect those details with the sea beyond.

Two properties on different stretches of coastline

The aerial photographs explain where each property sits. At Cliff House, closer views show the building beside the rocky shoreline and cliff. Wider photographs place it within Beesands and the surrounding coast.

At Sennen, the broader sweep of the bay becomes part of the picture. The aerial selection moves between the property and the wider coastline, showing the relationship between the house, village and sea. These views complement the room photographs and give prospective guests a clearer impression of the location.

Movement, setting and practical information

I also produced video and floorplans for both Cliff House and Shark Fin. The videos introduce the coastal surroundings through moving images, adding another way to explore the properties on the website.

The floorplans provide a different kind of information. They show the room arrangements and connections that can be difficult to piece together from separate photographs. Together, the photographs, films and plans give someone considering a stay several ways to understand the accommodation.

A shared project for Cornerstone Photography and Cornerstone Websites

The imagery was produced alongside our work on the Ocean Retreats website. Each property has its own page, bringing photographs, video and floorplans together with the practical details of a stay.

You can read the Ocean Retreats website case study for the branding and website side of the project, or explore Ocean Retreats to see the properties.
